On November 25, 2019 our community suffered a profound loss as Elm Grove Police Sergeant and New Berlin resident Joe Ipavec passed away. Joe was a proven leader both within his department and community. The 43-year-old sergeant served as a firearms instructor, mentored new officers as a field training officer, and was also the department liaison for the Citizen Police Academy.

The Ipavec family are members of the Princeton Club and his wife Tracy said “Joe enjoyed his time at the Princeton Club.  Since he worked second shift, he typically worked out during the quieter hours at the club.  I believe his workouts were essential for him, not only to keep him fit for duty but also as an outlet to burn off some adrenaline from the job.  We also enjoyed fun times together at the pool that I will always remember.”

Joe is survived by his wife Tracy and his two children. We would like to honor his service to our community by helping his family during this difficult time. All proceeds from the Wine Tasting event will be donated to the Ipavec family.

**We will be doing basket raffles. If you would like to donate a basket to be raffled, please contact Zack Ferguson at
